We price each event fairly, based on what it actually requires—the scale, complexity, time, equipment, people, and care involved. Our goal isn't a one-off transaction. We'd rather build the kind of long-standing relationship that makes us useful across many events, in as many ways as we genuinely can be.
We own enough sound to serve outdoor crowds of roughly 4,000 people, depending on the site and the program, and our local partnerships let us grow from there. Planning what to bring is honestly part of the fun: every event is a little different, every outing builds on the last, and there is always another combination to try in pursuit of a better result.
The name Hyphaesaurus has roots in Burning Man. Ask us sometime. Our mark brings together organic beauty and the craft and character of vintage gear. Preserving what was special, improving what can be improved, and combining the old with the new—that close-to-perfect balance, built to be felt, is what we strive for.
The truth is, we're a group of friends and longtime denizens of the Bay Area's party, festival, and music scenes who really, really love sound. Those scenes became our playgrounds: places to experiment, follow our curiosity, and refine our craft until we became very good at it.
The equipment is never the point by itself. Production is a way to help people create, share, and gather—and to make those gatherings worthy of the people in them.
